'Jurassic World 2' Air Date, News & Update: 'Penny Dreadful' Director Read Novels To Prepare For Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard Sequel? Dinosaur Flick Darker?

"Jurassic World 2" clues may be found in the novels that "Penny Dreadful" director JA Bayona read to prepare for his sequel to the Colin Trevorrow blockbuster.  As Chris Pratt (Owen Grady) and Bryce Dallas Howard (Claire Dearing) prepare to reprise their roles, "The Impossible" JA Bayona tried to get into the mindset of "Jurassic Park" author Michael Crichton.

According to CinemaBlend, JA Bayona took to making verbal arrangements with cast and crew to avoid "Jurassic World 2" leaks. However, fans may want to revisit the books by "Jurassic Park" author Michael Crichton to get a preview of plans by JA Bayona. 

Scified reports that JA Bayona had in fact been reading ALL the novels of author Michael Crichton in preparation for "Jurassic World 2." JA Bayona is no stranger to fantasy and science fiction and expresses appreciation for the materials by the "Jurassic Park" novelist.

Scified suggests that as a result of his immersion in the works of Michael Crichton, JA Bayona may be directing a darker and more philosophical "Jurassic World 2." This supports statement by "Star Wars Episode 9" director Colin Trevorrow on "Jurassic World 2" plans.

Screen Rant reports that according to Colin Trevorrow, "Jurassic World 2" is about deriving the foundation. "The second one, 'Jurassic World 2,' and as we were driving we tried to find, what is the foundation?" Colin Trevorrow said.

"Dinosaurs and man, separated by 65 million years of evolution have been thrown back into the mix together." Man having forced this togetherness with the "Jurassic" franchise, the aftermath could only be unexpected.

Very swiftly, "Jurassic World 2" will depart the franchise from a Disney park type of entertainment. Cloned dinosaurs including the Indominus Rex of "Jurassic World" will reveal deepened dynamics as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing will learn.
