'Vikings' Season 4 Midseason Air Date, News & Update: Lagertha Will Have A New Lover? Ragnar Lothbrok Will Share Kattegat Rule With Sons?

The "Vikings Season 4" midseason premiere sees Ragnar Lothbrok (Travis Fimmel, "Warcraft") grappling with mixed reception in Kattegat from resentful sons Bjorn, Ubbe and Sigurd Snake-In-The-Eye and "neutrals" Hvitserk and Ivar The Boneless. Meanwhile Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick) journeys from the death of traitor Kalf (Ben Robson) onto where "Vikings Season 4" may take her to a new love.

Entertainment Weekly reports that "Vikings" creator Michael Hirst promises that Lagertha will top the shock of her bloody wedding scene with Kalf. Interestingly, "Vikings Season 4" will orchestrate events so Lagertha crosses paths with a new lover.

"However strong she becomes, somehow men succeed in taking things away from her," Michael Hirst said of Lagertha. "There's something she does which is so unexpected, but when you think about it later, you think: 'No, she had to do that. That is Lagertha.'"

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Ben Robson (Kalf) revealed feeling that his wedding shocker was always coming leading up to the "Vikings Season 4" midseason finale. Citing that Katheryn Winnick as Lagertha is a favorite among "Vikings" fans, betrayal of the Norse shield maiden would never last.
