'The Walking Dead' Season 7 Spoilers, News & Update: Maggie, Glenn To Say Goodbye? Negan, Lucille Victim Not Important?

"The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere will see Maggie Greene (Lauren Cohan) and Glen Rhee (Steven Yeun) say goodbye as Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) strikes out with Lucille. Despite the hyped cast elimination by Negan and Lucille from "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale, the choice of "TWD" premiere casualty will not matter.

The Hollywood Reporter recalls pronouncement by "TWD" creator Robert Kirkman that Negan and Lucille kill off a beloved character at "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale. Although AMC has been filming Negan and Lucille murdering Michonne (Danai Gurira), Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), Carl (Chandler Riggs), Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus) and the rest of the cast, "The Walking Dead" fans still remember the accidental leak by Robert Kirkman reported by CinemaBlend.

"Eventually a character named Negan is introduced, and he's going to bash in Glenn's brains with a baseball bat called Lucille," Robert Kirkman said of "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale shocker. The media outlet points out that Lauren Cohan, who plays Glenn's wife Maggie Greene seemed shaken and while Josh McDermitt (Eugene) looked bemused from "The Walking Dead" Season 6 finale reveal.

Maggie Greene and Glenn Rhee were just reunited after the Glenngate with the zombie horde in "The Walking Dead" Season 5. Glenngate had always seemed to be a warning that Maggie Greene and Glenn Rhee will not have a happy-ever-after at "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere.

Is the original "The Walking Dead" TV series character Jennie (dubbed the new Beth) joining not as Carl Grimes' eye-candy but to help Maggie Greene? If Maggie Greene survives with her pregnancy intact, someone like her sister Beth could help her get through the rest of "The Walking Dead" Season 7.

However, The Hollywood Reporter points out that no matter how painful "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere turns out, safety us not guaranteed for any of the characters. Jeffrey Dean Morgan reportedly promised that Rick Grimes should watch out as "The Walking Dead" Season 7 is Negan land, which sounds a lot like more deaths are coming.

Negan and Lucille with candidates Maggie Greene, Glenn Rhee, Michonne, Rick Grimes, Carl and Daryl Dixon will return to AMC with "The Walking Dead" Season 7 premiere on October 9. Melissa McBride (Carol Peletier), Morgan Jones (Lennie James), Tara (Alana Masterson) and newcomer Naomi will also be on hand for "The Walking Dead" Season 7.
