'iZombie' Season 3 Air Date, Spoilers And News: Rahul Kohli Shuts Down Rumors On Ravi's 'Transformation' [PHOTO]

There will definitely be many changes when "iZombie" returns for Season 3 on The CW. However, Rahul Kohli, who plays the medical examiner Ravi Chakrabarti in the series, is shutting down rumors his character is transforming next season. Will the level-headed and peace-loving Rovi be turning into a badass fighter on "iZombie"?

Speculations as to Ravi's transformation cropped up when Rahul Kohli posted a photo on his Twitter to show that he has been undergoing MMA training. Reports suggested that this was supposed to be part of his character's evolution and process in getting over his ex-girlfriend Peyton (Aly Michalka). Peyton and Ravi's relationship in "iZombie" has remained friendly despite the breakup. So, learning that she's dating Blaine (David Anders) has been hard for Ravi.

Yet Rahul Kohli belied the rumors and corrected the speculations on his character's transformation by saying that his MMA training is not at all related to the show. He claims that the sport is just for fun and he called the rumors on "iZombie" as nonsense.

However, Rahul Kohli did say that there will be more to Ravi in "iZombie" Season 3, especially when there are still things that viewers do not know about his character. The actor told TV Guide that the show is going to "delve into a little bit of Ravi's stuff" in the incoming season. The show is going to begin filming in a few weeks.

Meanwhile, one transformation that viewers can expect to see in "iZombie" Season 3 is Major's (Roberty Buckley) new ability. Now that the vaccine that Ravi created has worn off and he's a full blown zombie, Major is going to be able to take on the personality of the brain he eats. This is the same ability as Liv's (Rose McIver) and she talks about it in the video below.

"iZombie" Season 3 has no confirmed air date just yet. Creator Rob Thomas confirmed in May via Twitter that the show is going to be schedule for mid-season on The CW.
