7 Types of Healthy Fats: These Fats are Actually Good for You!

The general consensus seems to be that any and all types of fats are bad for you, so you should not eat them if ever you want to be healthy. However, there is a distinct difference among fats in that there are good fats as well as there also being bad fats. Luckily, the good types of fats are fairly easy to come by these days and hopefully this list will help you eat healthier.

First up on this list compiled by Men's Fitness are eggs. Eggs are the perfect source of protein, having 6g of it per egg, but they also contain considerable amounts of amino acids, vitamin D, riboflavin, and vitamin B12. In terms of healthy fats, eggs contain omega-3 fatty acids, lutein, choline, and selenium, which are very good for the heart.

Up next on the list are fruit and vegetable oils. Coconut oil has recently been regaining some of its popularity due to having antibacterial, anti-fungal, and even fat-burning capacities. Other types of oils that are good for you are algae oil, olive oil, peanut oil, and even walnut oil! Just like the nut oil mentioned before, nuts and nut better contain very good fats as well.

Olives are fourth on this list with its great amount of antioxidants and good cholesterol. This good cholesterol can also be found in avocado. This fruit also contains a lot of vitamin K, vitamin E, fiber, magnesium, and good fats. Fatty fish is another excellent source of healthy fats, such as omega-3 fatty acids, as well as proteins and vitamins.

Last on this list are seeds. They are a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which Help Guide is an advocate of, and also fiber. Eating seeds can help give you a massive energy boost while at the same time lowering the overall amount of bad cholesterol in your body.
