Check Out The 10 Most Popular Smartphones in the US and in the World from the First Half of 2016

The smartphone market is one that is awash with different, usually competing products. However, there are always those that are a cut above the rest, those that gain most of the share of the market and become best sellers. Whether if it's because of their unique features, excellent battery life, sleek design, or affordable price point, here are some of the most popular smartphones in the United States and in the entire world from the first half of the year 2016.

The list was released by AnTuTu. It shows that the Glazy Note 5 was the most popular smartphone from the first half of the current year in both the world and in the United States.

Report says 7.82% of all smartphone users in the world either currently use or own the Samsung Galaxy Note 5, with 9.99 percent of smartphone users in the U.S. making up a large part of this number. These may be small figures at first glance, but they become much large considering the amount of competing products available, as shown in reports from GSM Arena.

For smartphone users around the world, the list goes: Note 5, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S6 Edge, Galaxy S7, Redmi Note 3, Galaxy S7 Edge, MX5, G3, LeEco 1S, and then the Meizu Metal in that order. For smartphone users in the U.S., it goes: Note 5, Note 4, Nexus 6P, Nexus 6, Galaxy S6, Galaxy S7, Galaxy S7 Edge, Galaxy S6 Edge, Oneplus, and the Nexus 5X in that order.

What's striking about this list from AnTuTu is that it is in fact dominated by Android products, as Apple's iPhone smartphone is neither in the top ten of the United States or in the world. The recently released Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge also place particularly low in both lists considering the hype that surrounded them during their release and even in the time before. The S6 remains a more popular choice among smartphone users in the first half of 2016.
