'Orange is the New Black' Season 5 News & Update: Lolly Returns; Filming Begins; New Season To Premiere In June 2017?

If you are a huge fan of "Orange Is The New Black" you have probably watched season 4 already. Just like you, the rest of the "OITNB" followers are now looking forward to "Orange Is The New Black" season 5. According to reports, Lolly (Lore Petty) will likely return in the next season.

Lolly Will Return In 'Orange Is The New Black' Season 5

Lolly is Alex's faithful friend in "Orange Is The New Black". The character is suffering from schizophrenia but her condition has never stopped her making friends with the other inmates. In fact, it was Lolly, who saved Alex in the greenhouse when someone tried to kill her.

Petty's character is very relatable. The actress is aware how compassionate the "Orange Is The New Black" viewers to her character are and she is positive that she will be returning in the series.

"I certainly hope so. I do think we will. I can't say for sure, but I absolutely think we will," Petty told the Hollywood Reporter. "They are just now filming episode one [of season five] and you know how we ended season four. They have a lot to deal with right now! I'm just waiting on the phone call to get back on the plane. I'm sure it will come, but we have 13 episodes and they've got a lot to take care of, so we'll see."

'Orange Is The New Black' Season 5 Has Started Filming

As Petty disclosed the production has already started filming the first episode of "Orange Is The New Black" Season 5. Meanwhile, Parent Herald previously reported that Flaca (Jackie Cruz) and Maritza (Diane Guerrero) a.k.a Flaritza would replace Poussey and Taystee's hilarious tandem in "Orange Is the New Black" Season 5 following Poussey's death. Poussey and Taystee are behind the light moments in the series and fans hope that Flaritza can bring the same comedy.

"Orange Is The New Black" Season 5 will premiere in June 2017.
