Pokemon Go is Now Set to Be More Popular than Tinder and Twitter: Why You Should Join in on the Millions Having Fun

It seems as if the Pokemon Go craze just continues to keep growing at an unprecedented rate, with people from all walks of live getting hooked on the mobile game. This makes the popularity of other addicting; craze-starting mobile applications such as Twitter and Tinder come to mind. What's surprising is that Pokemon Go is now a more popular choice amongst Android users compared to Tinder and is now set to beat Twitter in the amount of people who use it on a daily basis.

A lot of people were patiently waiting for this game after its official announcement even if it was months away back then. This is evidenced by 5.16% of the millions upon millions of all Android phones around the world having the application installed after just two days of being released. Investors are also quite happy as well due to the fact that Nintendo stocks have risen by over 20 percent since Pokemon Go's release, according to a report from ABC News.

Pokemon Go is the latest entry in the long line of Pokemon games that have steadily been released by Nintendo over the past few decades. What makes it different is that it is exclusively geared towards mobile devices and uses unique augmented reality technology in order to put Pokemon into the user's real world environment. This move seems to be working out, as 3% of all Android users in the United States are regular users of this smartphone application.

People have used this highly popular game as an "excuse" to get together with friends. It's the "shared scavenger-hunt mentality that gets people using the game and exploring," says Guy Blomberg, content manager of video game convention PAX Australia and Oz Comic Con. However, it does not come with a squeaky clean reputation as it has been reported by the Daily Mail that the app is used by criminals to lure people into secluded locations and has even been the cause of numerous injury-inducing accidents.
