'The Fall' Season 3 Air Date, Teaser & News: Jamie Dornan's Paul Spector Lives? First Photo Reveals Serial Killer Is Back!

BBC has released a teaser photo for "The Fall," which returns for a third season this autumn. Viewers might recall that Jamie Dornan's character, the serial killer Paul Spector, was shot in Season 2, but the teaser reveals he's actually alive and well.

"The Fall" has been on hiatus for close to two years until BBC confirmed that the crime thriller will be getting a third and last season. The network unveiled two images this week via Twitter to signify that the show is going to air soon. The images have Gillian Anderson as DSI Stella Gibson and Jamie Dornan as Paul Spector.

"The Fall" Season 3 Plot

According to TV Wise, "The Fall" Season 3 will follow the events after Paul Spector's shooting. In the last scene of "The Fall" Season 2, DSI Stella Gibson was frantically attempting to keep Paul Spector alive, after being shot at point-blank range by his victim's relative. It turns out, he actually survived this despite the multiple bullet wounds.

However, Radio Times cites that there's no hint Paul Spector could be under custody in the upcoming season, which can only mean DSI Stella Gibson could be on the hunt for him again. Series creator Allan Cubbit is keeping mum about what "The Fall" Season 3 will deliver. "I don't want to give anything away about how the third series will end," he said per Entertainment IE.

'The Fall' Season 3 Cast

The upcoming season of the "The Fall" will feature new actors like Ruth Bradley, Aidan McArdle, Kristen Henriksson, Richard Coyle and Aisling Bea. They will join existing actors like Valene Kane, Colin Morgan, Stuart Graham, Aisling Franciosi, John Lynch and Bronagh Waugh.

Colin Morgan, who plays Det. Tom Anderson, told What's On TV that the "The Fall" Season 3 could be its strongest. Overall, "The Fall" has received critical acclaim and was one of the top series when it debuted in May 2013.
