Although it sounds very alarming, fans should take this rumor with a grain of salt.

If there's anything sure of Kendrick, it's the fact that she wants to play a Marvel superhero. According to latest reports, the actress thinks she can give justice to "Squirrel Girl" should a movie be green lit by Marvel.

"My brother sent me a 'Squirrel Girl' comic because he thinks I should," she said to Net A Porter. "I don't know what Squirrel Girl does other than be half squirrel, but I could be half squirrel!"

Meanwhile, other "Pitch Perfect 3" cast, plot and release date rumors claim that original cast members Rebel Wilson, Brittany Snow and Adam DeVine, as well as new Bella Hailee Steinfield will return to reprise their roles. New reports are claiming that a new addition to the cast could be introduced as well, and rumors are rife that it will be Zac Efron.

In a recent interview, Adam shared his thoughts on who Zac could possibly play if he was the new "Pitch Perfect 3" cast member. "I think what's going to happen is they haven't invited me back to the movie yet," Adam told Teen Vogue. "I think they're slow playing it, but they're going to get rid of Bumper and they're going to say Bumper's younger brother stepped in and took his place. And it's going to be Zac."
