'Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2' Release Date & News: No 'Super' Or 'GT' Characters Except Future Trunks And Black Goku? Special Edition Revealed!

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" is set for an October 25 release on the PS4, Xbox One and the PC, and Bandai Namco knows exactly what gamers want from it. Those who are still considering whether to shell out or not for this installment might be interested to know that there will be special playable characters in the game from the different "Dragon Ball" franchise.

In an interview with J Patrol at the recent Japan Expo, "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" producer Masayuki Hirano confirmed that the game will mostly feature stories and characters from the "Dragon Ball Z" franchise only. But due to fan clamor, Bandai Namco has prepared a "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" DLC content that will give players access to some "Dragon Ball Super" characters.

In fac, some of these special characters, such as Future Trunks and Black Goku, are already part of the bonus packs for those who have pre-ordered the game. But it is still unclear whether "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will have more additions from the "Dragon Ball Super" franchise in the DLC.
