While "TVD" fans relish the promise of an Elena Gilbert return in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8, bad Damon Salvatore will murder a few more humans before rescue. TV Guide cites "The Vampire Diaries" writer Brian Young on what waits for Damon Salvatore and Enzo St John in S8.

"What we really wanted to do was give Damon a chance to act on Bad Damon again, but do it in a way that we can always forgive him for," Brian Young stated. This said, Brian Young revealed that the bad Damon Salvatore and Enzo St John will sink lower than they ever had in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

According to Brian Young, Damon Salvatore and Enzo St John will have rough ride in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8. Luckily, Stefan will keep his faith in Damon Salvatore despite his atrocities in "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8.

While a happy ending is the reward for tribulations, Brian Young teases this is not the case in "The Vampire Diaries" series. Elena Gilbert, Damon Salvatore, Bonnie Bennett, Enzo St John, Stefan and Caroline may have that one glorious moment but "The Vampire Diaries" Season 8 will likely strip it away just as quickly.
