'Grey's Anatomy' Season 13: Release Date, Spoilers and Plot Lines: Will Owen React To Meredith-Nathan Hookup Negatively? How Will Maggie React?

"Grey's Anatomy" Season 13 might see Owen's displeasure after Meredith started dating Nathan. In fact, there are many people who did not like her doing so.

In "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12, we saw that Meredith moved ahead in her life after Derek's death. She started a new chapter with the character played by Martin Henderson, Nathan.

"That's going to come out, I'm sure, next season,"said Kevin McKidd (who portrays Owen.) "I don't think Owen is going to be happy about that. He's almost becoming an unofficial brother to Meredith. Derek was his friend."

McKidd also revealed that Owen is a bit protective towards Meredith. Also, it is known that the last time Nathan got close to someone for whom Owen cared for, she died. Hence the irrational behavior that he might displays when he knows that Meredith is dating Nathan is justified.

Will Maggie be excited about this new relationship? Definitely no. "Grey's Anatomy" Season 12 saw Maggie confessing to Meredith that she has started to fall for the new doctor. So, when she knows about Meredith and Nathan, it is not going to be pleasant.

As of now, Meredith will have to keep the relationship under wraps. Even for Meredith, it was not sure if she will continue to hookup with Nathan. Will they continue to be together or not, is still unclear.

"Maggie has a crush on him, so Meredith can't really reveal what has gone on, because she has to keep it secret from her sister... [And] I'm not sure if the relationship, the sexual relationship, is going to continue or not," Ellen stated. "I think maybe they want to give the fans a little taste and see how they react first, and then they will decide what to do. Shonda is sort of savant in that way. She just gets these ideas, and she's very, very confident about what direction she wants her characters to go in. So maybe she has a plan for next year."

The popular series, "Grey's Anatomy" is all set to return to ABC in September.
