Terrorism Without Roots: Man Drives Delivery Truck Through A Crowd, Kills 84 People

The man responsible for NICE attack 'causing 84 people to perish actually has a criminal record, doesn't belong to any terrorist group. The driver is a drunkard, wife beater and a non-practicing Islam believer according to friends and relatives. Walid Hamou his wife's cousin admit to MailOnline "Bouhlel was not religious. He did not go to the mosque. He did not pray. He did not observe Ramadan. He drank alcohol, ate pork and took drugs. This is all forbidden under Islam. He was not a Muslim. He beat his wife, my cousin. He was a nasty piece of work."

It seems everyone hated Mohamed Lahouaiej Bouhlel, born in Tunisia and has a dual French citizenship and described by one neighbor as a "skirt-chasing father of three bitter about his recent divorce." One neighbor said "He was rude and bit weird. We would hold the door open for him and he would just blank him. He kept to himself, but would always rant about his wife. He had marital problems and would tell people in the local cafe. He scared my children though."

About two years ago, he was separated from his wife and transferred near the seaside strip where he ran over 84 innocent people to death 5 days ago. Mr. Bouhlel home's was rummaged by authorities the next day he made his attack while his ex wife was now under police protection. According to Bouhlel's biological father, his son has a history of mental disorder. "He had some difficult times. I took him to a psychiatrist, he took treatment and he said that he was suffering from a very serious illness."

His criminal offense includes armed robbery, domestic violence and giving threats to people. A defense lawyer who represented Bouhlel in an offense a year ago said "a classic delinquent." An anti terrorist prosecutor Francois Molins explains that Bouhlel does not belong in the most wanted list of intelligence services. And do not have a sign of radicalization. One witnessed in the gruesome incident he heard Bouhlel shouting "Allahu Akbar." It means "God is great". Before he drove his way to the crowd.
