'The Winds of Winter' Author Vs. 'Game of Thrones' Scribes

George RR Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" novel series is a huge hit that it spawns a TV adaptation, "Game of Thrones." Although Martin is the original scribe, HBO also comes with their own writers for the TV series.

For those who felt that "GoT" will spoil "The Winds of Winter," Weis and Benioff assured that the book and the show are very different. Fans should expect major differences between "The Winds of Winter" and "Game of Thrones."

"The books and the series are so different now that I don't want to say anything that might give away something that he's going to do," Benioff and Weiss said teasing that "The Winds of Winter" and "A Dream of Spring" are unlikely to follow the events in "Game of Thrones."
