'High School Musical' 4 Air Date, Spoilers & News: Vancouver Or LA Filming To Begin In August? Audition Callbacks Has Rolled

It has been months since Disney announced it will be bringing "High School Musical 4" and nationwide open casting calls have been done and over with online and in Anaheim, California. Production is reportedly scouting for filming locations as the musical is set to roll the cameras by August. Work on "HSM 4" is definitely ramping up.

'High School Musical 4' August Filming In Vancouver Or L.A.

A post on Twitter indicated that the production crew from "High School Musical 4" is planning to shoot the special in either Vancouver or Los Angeles. Work on the set is supposed to start by August, but no other details were divulged.

Back in May, Disney Channel Auditions also reported that filming for "High School Musical 4" will begin in August 2016. But Disney has yet to confirm the new set of actors who will be working on these locations. Those who did have a chance to audition have been waiting for a callback from the casting directors.

'High School Musical 4' Callbacks Rolling Since June

A young "High School Musical 4" aspirant, Jianni, shared her experience during the open casting call in Anaheim, California via a video blog on YouTube. She writes that she had fun during the auditions, but also described the experience as "pretty nerve wracking."

Jianni also asked her followers in the comments if anyone who has auditioned for "High School Musical 4" has gotten a callback from the casting directors. Someone replied that callbacks have started happening since June and one confirmed she received a callback on June 28.

On Twitter, hundreds of hopefuls are also wondering if callbacks have been made or if Disney has actually picked the new stars for "High School Musical 4." But the studio has kept things under wraps.

It is also not yet confirmed if the original HSM stars, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens, are going to make a cameo despite conflicting reports. Only Ashley Tisdale has so far expressed she won't be part of it anymore, as Parent Herald reported previously.
