For fans waiting for the next season of "The Originals," it is expected that it will include a huge time jump. According to reports, "The Originals" Season 4 will have a five-year time jump and fans will see an older Hayley's new challenges.

'The Originals' Season 4 Will Have A Five-Year time Jump

Parent Herald previously reported that a time jump is necessary for "The Originals" Season 4. "It's almost mandatory that there be some sort of time jump. This is a definitive loss on the part of the Mikaelsons," Michael Narducci told TV Line.

For those wondering how long will the time jump be in "The Originals" Season 4, Dread Central reported that it will be five years. The time jump will feature the growth of Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley's (Phoebe Tonkin) daughter, Hope.

Hope was only two years old in the previous season of "The Originals" but fans will see an older Hope in season 4. "She was two years old when we left her... and she's now a little person. She's got dialogue and hopes and dreams, and she misses her dad and understands her family has suffered a great loss," Narducci told TV Line about Hope in "The Originals" Season 4.

In a separate report from Parent Herald, the "The Originals" Season 4 production is casting for a new character between 6 to 9 years old. The new character will be playing as a "young daughter" in the series. Although only limited detail is known about the character, the "The Originals" fans are sure that the new cast will be playing as the older Hope.

Hayley Will Struggle In 'The Originals' Season 4

Per Enstarz, Hayley will have difficult challenges in "The Originals" Season 4. Initially, per Phoebe Tonkin, her character only wants a family and with Hope by her side, she won't feel alone.

However, the Mikaelson's fate in "The Originals" Season 4 is in her hands and Hayley needs to locate the seven werewolf packs to save everyone. She needs to explore the werewolf side to connect with them. In addition, Hayley's romance with Elijah might not have a happy ending.
