iPhone 7 Leaks Suggest 10th Anniversary Redesign; Should Users Wait for 2017?

New iPhone 7 leaks suggest that a pre-order date has already been confirmed. If these new rumors are true, waiting fans could actually expect an announcement from the tech giant next month.

As Forbes' Gordon Kelly noted, trusted Apple insider Evan Blass has already claimed that a September 9, 2016 pre-order date has already been slated. iPhone 7 leaks further suggest that the new iPhone will then be released on September 16, 2016.

However, as previous iPhone 7 leaks already mentioned, it is still not sure what the new iPhone will be called. Rumors are rife that it will be called the iPhone 6SE instead of iPhone 7 since it will just feature minor improvements on the current iPhone.

"Furthermore it ties in with Apple's much anticipated plans for the 10th anniversary of the original iPhone in 2017 where talk of a complete redesign has already leaked," Kelly noted. "Such a handset was never likely to be called the iPhone 7S."

"Either way, it's time for iPhone fans to get saving. Whether it's for what Apple has lined up for us in September or instead to prepare for the company's much more ambitious iPhone plans in 2017."

Previous iPhone 7 leaks also revealed that the iPhone 7 might be opting out of its 64GB storage option. As the report noted, the tech giant might just offer a 32GB entry level model followed by a 128GB midrange and 256GB top end.

9 to 5 Mac noted that the iPhone 7 could also have a new home button that will have waterproof and dustproof capabilities. The site also hinted on that a Smart Connector could be included in the new phone.
