'Battlefield 1' Teaser, Release Date & News: New Trailer Coming To Gamescom; EA DICE Adds Premium Service?

Gamers expecting for the latest updates on "Battlefield 1" might have to keep tabs on the events that will take place at the Gamescom in Germany. A developer from EA DICE revealed that he's working on a new trailer for "Battlefield 1," which should be released during the said gaming expo that's happening this August.

'Battlefield 1' Gamescom Trailer

Randy Evans of EA DICE alerted fans via his Twitter about the new "Battlefield 1" trailer that will be shown at the Gamescom, and the anticipation for it is understandable. When EA DICE released the very first teaser for the game back in May, it was met with such a positive response in the gaming community. Ultimately, it also drove interest up for "Battlefield 1" and that first trailer release remains to be most-watched on YouTube at nearly 44 million views and over two million likes.

Gamescom is going to take place from August 17 to 21. So, fans can expect the new "Battlefield 1" trailer to pop up on the internet around the said dates.

'Battlefield 1' Premium Service

Meanwhile, after some gamers were able to participate in the Alpha test phase for "Battlefield 1," it has been learned that DICE might be setting up Premium Services offer for the players. Reddit member H4wkAvenger shared in a thread that he found data about this while going over some files from the Alpha. He revealed that are placeholders and artworks indicative a service might be coming. However, this feature for "Battlefield 1" has yet to be officially confirmed by the game publisher, EA.

 Segment Next reports that EA does provide Premium Services for its other games, including "Battlefield 4," "Battlefield 3" and "Battlefield Hardline. Premium Services give players more options to the game features and expansion packs and it is priced at a slightly higher rate than regular gaming subscriptions.

"Battlefield 1" is a competitive shooting game that can support a multiple player mode of up to 64 players, per Hardcore Gamer. The game can be played via PS4, Xbox One and PC. It will be officially released on Oct. 21.
