‘Destiny: Rise of Iron:’ The Exotic Weapon Thorn Back In New Installment

"Destiny: Rise Of Iron" is perhaps the most talked about release in the gaming world. Bungie is leaving no stones unturned to make the new installment as exciting as possible. The latest report says that Bungie might bring back Thorn in the new installment.

"Destiny: Rise Of Iron" will see the Year One exotic hand cannon back! It is awed by the fans and has a long history. It proved its dominance in the Crucible quite well.

The fans of the game are already thrilled when Bungie revealed that "Destiny: Rise Of Iron" will bring in the favorite exotic rocket launcher Gjallarhorn. Also, Gjallarwing Sparrow is also being introduced in the update. But, to add to the excitement, Bungie is now set to bring back another one of the exotic weapons, the infamous hand cannon Thorn, reported Euro Gamer.

It was revealed that the new artifacts that are being added in "Destiny: Rise Of Iron" will offer Guardians new abilities. To mention, there is one called the "Memory of Silmar." This will reduce the damage from 'Damage over Time/ effects' dramatically. This will be very useful as Thorn will be returning in the new update of the game, reported Game Rant.

There is a lot of nostalgia attached to the fans when Gjallarhorn and Thorn returns. Initially, the Thorn was one of the weakest and unused exotics in "Destiny: Rise Of Iron."  It underwent a few changes every now and then and not it has become the most powerful Primary weapon in the Crucible.

"Destiny: Rise Of Iron"  thorn boasts of an incredible range and a devastating initial damage. It also has a poison effect that caused damage over time. By using this exotic weapon, it was possible to kill an opposing Guardian in just two headshots.

Quite similar to Gjallarhorn, Thorn is the best choice and perhaps the only one while playing PvE. Thorn was left behing by Bungie when "The Taken King" came out in September 2015.

It is reported that in addition to Thorn, "Destiny: Rise Of Iron" will also reintroduce another exotic weapon. It is reported that the weapon in mention looks very similar to the first gun Guardians pick up in the game, the Khovostov auto rifle. The Khovostov might return to the game as an exotic after being thoroughly customized. The players of the game will be able to select whether they want the auto rifle to fire in full auto, burst, or semi-auto modes. And even the weapon's rate of fire will be adjustable.

Bungie revealed the new Light level cap for "Destiny: Rise Of Iron" and the Sparrow Racing League.

"Destiny: Rise Of Iron" will launch September 20 on PS4 and Xbox One.
