The success of the former seasons of the HBO series has led to the renewal of the "Game of Thrones" Season 6. Claims have also surged that the author, George RR Martin is disappointed with the series and aims on prioritizing its new creation, "Wild Cards."

Even the speculations are skyrocketing for "Game of Thrones" Season 6, it does not imply that it is credible and genuine. Both HBO and George RR Martin did not affirm the speculations and debunked the assumptions as mere hearsays.

Even though the rumors for "Game of Thrones" Season 6 are not affirmed, George RR Martin did confirm that "Wild Cars" is coming. For one, NME has relayed that the creator has affirmed the coming on the new series onto the small screens and Universal Cable Production is currently overseeing the production.

As for the rumors that George RR Martin has abandoned the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 and has laid his whole attention to the new segment, that is also debunked. The same post also mentioned that Martin is still busy with his other works such as the novel, "The Winds Of Winter."

In a different note, News has reported that the "Game of Thrones" Season 6 would incorporate lesser episodes and shorter ones as well. According to the report, HBO's epic drama only contains 10 episodes in a given season. As for the upcoming seasons, some have seven while others are presuming six episodes.
