NBA Trade Rumors: Miami Heat To Sign Rudy Gay; Detroit Pistons Willing to Pay Luxury Tax To Extend Kentavious Caldwell-Pope

There is no doubt that many NBA fans find the offseason very interesting. Who will be moving to a new team? Will your favorite player stay with your favorite team? According to reports, Rudy Gay is heading to Miami Heat while Detroit Pistons will be extending their shooting guard Kentavious Caldwell-Pope.

Sacramento Kings is ready to lose Rudy Gay for the next NBA season by putting him on the trade block. Unfortunately, despite the NBA trade rumors suggesting that Gay has huge potential to land in Brooklyn Nets, Indiana Pacers or San Antonio Spurs, Kings' small forward has not found his new team yet.

Parent Herald previously reported that Rudy Gay wants to join Dwayne Wade in Miami Heat. However, per Miami Herald, Heat might not afford Gay due to lack of assets. CBS Sports added that even if Heat finds a way to acquire Rudy Gay, another roadblock is the $14.2 player option in 2017-2018.

Well, at the time, it is still difficult to guess what jersey Rudy Gay will be wearing in the upcoming NBA season. Parent Herald  previously reported that Kings might send him and Kosta Koufus to Brooklyn Nets. Meanwhile, in another report, he might land with the Indiana Pacers because the team is desperate to have him that it is willing to trade Monta Ellis and Rodney Stuckey.

Meanwhile, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope (KCP) will be staying longer with the Detroit Pistons. Caldwell-Pope has proven himself valuable for Pistons and with his rookie contract expiring, his team is willing to have him sign an extension even if it means going over the salary cap. Tom Gores told the Detroit Free Press that he is willing to pay luxury taxes because he is building a core team in Pistons.

He also expressed his faith with KCP, stressing that he is diverse and keeps on improving. Definitely, Kentavious Caldwell-Pope is a promising player in the NBA league and Pistons is seeing it.
