NBA Trade Rumors: Golden State Warriors Wants Emeka Okafor After Losing Festus Ezeli And Andrew Bogut

There is no doubt that the Golden State Warriors is a super team. The team has a powerful roster but they are still working on making their team even stronger even after adding OKC Thunder's Kevin Durant. According to NBA trade rumors, GSW wants Emeka Okafor on their roster.

Despite being one of the strongest contenders in the NBA league, GSW continues to polish their lineup. The team has parted ways with some of their players to acquire Kevin Durant. Now, reports have it that they are eyeing Emeka Okafor as a potential addition to their roster.

The former center and power forward of Washington Wizards, Emeka Okafor wants to continue his NBA career. According to ESPN Okafor is training for his NBA comeback.

Emeka Okafor's agent, Jeff Schwartz disclosed that the NBA player is healthy and is feeling great. However, Okafor is a perfectionist and wants everything to be right when he returns, especially that he will be joining a "contending team."

According to the NBA trade rumors, Emeka Okafor could be joining the super team in the Western Conference. SportsRageous reported that the Golden State Warriors want Emeka Okafor in their team when the player returns. The Warriors has a powerful four quartet with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and Kevin Durant.

GSW just acquired Kevin Durant from OKC Thunder but getting the superstar on their team means losing several key players. GSW parted way with Leandro Barbosa, Festus Ezeli, Harrison Barnes, Marreese Speights and Andrew Bogut.

Per the report, Festus Ezeli and Andrew Bogut's departure is something that GSW should fill in. The team needs rebounding and shot-blocking which the two players provided for the Warriors in the last two years.

Emeka Okafor could provide the rebounding and shot-blocking to fill Festus Ezeli and Andrew Bogut's positions. In fact, when Okafor played his last season in the NBA, he averaged 9.7 points, 8.8 rebounds and 1.0 block.
