'19 Kids & Counting' Jessa Duggar Pregnant with First Baby, Sister Jill Duggar Gives Birth

After big sister Jill Duggar gave birth, it will soon be Jessa Duggar's turn to become a new mom. Jessa and husband, Ben Seewald, announced that they are expecting their first child, as revealed in E! Online.

The newlyweds reportedly shared the baby news as the pregnancy reaches its second trimester. Ben said that his unborn child's scheduled birth on November 1. Coincidentally, November 1 is also the couple's wedding anniversary date. Jessa and Ben were married in 2014.

Jessa shared that she found out she was expecting when her pregnancy test results came out positive one Sunday morning. Before going to church that day, the 22-year-old reality star told her husband the good news. "I said, 'Hey Ben, guess what? Yeah, you're a dad,'" Jessa narrated. "We are so excited. We have started talking baby names. It is one of those things that is so special, picking a name for a baby."

However, Jessa does not let morning sickness affect her in a major way. "The morning sickness was different every day," she shared. "It's getting better, but I'm still hanging on to the heartburn. And I don't have any super serious food cravings."

Jessa and Ben stand by their decision to still adopt kids someday. Jessa said, "Our hearts haven't changed on adoption. We're still making plans."

According to Ben, prayers are the strong forces that guide them into entering parenthood soon. He said, "We pray every night that God helps us be good parents. We are getting advice from other parents."

Jessa took into consideration Jill's 70-hour labor before the latter gave birth to son Israel David earlier this month, "I am not comparing, not worrying about what could happen, we are just getting prepared."

The "19 Kids and Counting" star also shared her insights about her marriage and pregnancy in the coming months, as reported in People magazine. "I think having this first year together to share our lives, just the two of us, has been special. We are definitely excited to be parents," she stated.

Meanwhile, US Magazine reported that a Tuesday episode of "19 Kids and Counting" featured Jessa and Ben on a honeymoon in Europe. Allegedly, the couple was savoring the scenery at the Piazza San Marco when birds suddenly attacked!

Jessa fondly recalled, "We thought, 'Oh, let's feed the birds. That will be fun!'" She then added, "Those things are vicious! When they see food, they, like, attack you. It's gross."
