What To Expect From 'Attack On Titan' Game, Koei Tecmo Says It Will Go Beyond Anime's Season 1 Plot

Koei Tecmo, the company that is in charge of the upcoming "Attack on Titan" video game, recently announced that the game will be exceeding the first season's plot of the anime that has the same name. The announcement was made via Gamescom and a trailer was also released showing the game.

In the latest trailer for the upcoming "Attack on Titan" game, it revealed that there will be wo more types of Titans that players will come face to face with. These are the 50-foot tall Armored Titan and the new Beast Titan. Accordingly, the Beast Titan is a gigantic ape-like creature that possesses infinite amounts of force. The Beast Titan did not appear on the first season of the anime "Attack on Titan" but is rumored to be part of Season 2.

In a report by Game Spot, the "Attack on Titan" game will be released this August 20 for PS4 and Xbox One. It will also be released digitally on PlayStation 3, PlayStation Vita, and PC. The game will have upgradeable materials that will be from the slain Titans, blades, and omni-directional mobility gear. These materials cane be gathered on single player and multi-player missions.

In the multi-player mode, which is called Scout Mode, players will be able to recruit a maximum of three friends so they could go outside the wall together. Teams will then start a camp and till be able to upgrade their gears, change their costumes, and prepare what they need to fight the titans.

Anime News Network reported that "Attack On Titan" will be entitled "A.O.T.: Wings of Freedom" in Europe and the shipping will start this August 26. Also in Europe, the "Attack on Titan" game will get a limited "Treasure Box" edition that has an art book, the soundtrack, pin badges, a muffler towel, and DLC for Armin's "Attack on Titan: Junior High: outfit.

As for those who preordered the game in the U.S. from Amazon, Best Buy, EB Canada, or GameStop, they will receive downloadable cleaning weapons and costumes for both Levi and Eren. There will also be a festival costume for Mikasa. Those who digitally pre-ordered the game via the PlayStation Store or Xbox Store will be able to get "Attack on Titan" avatars.
