'A Series Of Unfortunate Events' News & Updates: Netflix Episode Breakdown Revealed, Big Changes From Book To TV?

Netflix's "A Series of Unfortunate Events" (ASOUE) is coming to the streaming site real soon and the cast has already wrapped up filming the shows' first eight episode. Netflix initially announced that ASOUE Season 1 will cover four books in the series written by Daniel Handler, which were published from 1999 to 2006. Eager fans believe they have been able to breakdown what each of the show's episodes will be about.

The episode breakdown to "A Series Of Unfortunate Events" was shared in a fan discussion on IMDb back in May. The source apparently came from Desventuras em Série Brasil, which has been posting behind-the-scenes and exclusives from the set of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" since it was first announced by Netflix.

Below is how the episodes will allegedly play out. The episodes are also expected to clock at an hour-long each, which means the first four books in "A Series of Unfortunate Events" will be covered in two hours each:

1: "The Bad Beginning," Part 1
2: "The Bad Beginning," Part 2
3: "The Reptile Room," Part 1
4: "The Reptile Room," Part 2
5: "The Wide Window," Part 1
6: "The Wide Window," Part 2
7: "The Miserable Mill," Part 1
8: "The Miserable Mill," Part 2

There are also speculations that even as "A Series of Unfortunate Events" haven't started streaming on Netflix, its second season is already a given. With the whole series comprising 13 books, as per its official site, it would be a mistake if the show doesn't complete the series for its TV adaptation. The most is that Netflix could develop the series until Season 3 or Season 4.

However, fans of the books have concerns that the TV show adaptation for ASOUE will veer off from its original source in the same way that "Game of Thrones" have done on HBO. If ASOUE becomes a success for Netflix, could there be a possibility that the story would extend beyond what has been written in the books?

Nevertheless, the excitement about the adaptation has already built a strong following of fans who hope that the Netflix production will not disappoint. It should be noted that Daniel Handler (Lemony Snicket) is also an executive producer on "A Series of Unfortunate Events," per Variety. Loyal fans of the book should be assured that the TV adaptation is being overseen by its creator.

The Netflix show is speculated to be released either during the holidays or by January 2017. Official announcements are expected to trickle down this fall. Stay tuned!
