If players encounter a Lapras they need to use Omastar, Magneton, Arcanine, Rapidash, Poliwratch or Magmar. If a strong Dragonite is defending a "Pokemon GO" gym, it can be countered with Omaster, Jynx. Cloyster, Lapras, Dewgon, Golem, Wigglypuff, Gyarados or Clefable.

Also, if a Poliwrath will be countered by Venusaur, Hypno, Slowbro, Exeggutor, Tangela, Victreebell or Vileplum. If it is a Vaporeon defending a "Pokemon GO" gym, it will be countered by Venusaur, Exeggutor, Tangela, Parasect, Victreebell and Vileplum. If Snorlax defends a gym, Pokemon Clefable and Golem may be used.

If the "Pokemon GO" gym is defended by Venusaur, Victreebell or Vileplum, a win is assured by using Golbat, Pidgeotto, Venomoth, Arcanine, Charizard or Flareon.

Players need to use Jolteon, Raichu, Electrode, Magneton or Electabuzz when a "Pokemon GO" gym is defended by a strong Gyarados. Slowbro gym defender can be defeated by Exeggutor, Parasect or Tangela. A "Pokemon GO" gym defended by an Exeggutor Pokemon needs to be attacked with either Venomoth, Arcanine, Flareon, Scyther or Charizard.
