Floyd Mayweather Wife & Girlfriend News & Rumors: Mother of The Money's Children Sues Boxer For $20M

Floyd Mayweather, Jr. may have won against Manny Pacquiao in the ring for the fight of the century but not everything is good in the American boxer's life right now.

According to The Inquisitr, Mayweather's ex-girlfriend, Josie Harris, is suing the father of her three kids for $20 million due to defamation of character. Harris claims that her ex told lies about her that destroyed her reputation.

According to the boxing champion's ex-girlfriend, Mayweather lied about her being in a drug-intoxicated rage in a domestic violence encounter with him in 2010. Harris files the case through her attorney, Dan Friedlander, in relation to the alleged comments Mayweather made in an interview with Katie Couric.

"Did I kick, stomp and beat someone? No, that didn't happen," Mayweather said in a conversation with Couric, according to E! Online. "Did I restrain a woman that was on drugs? Yes, I did. So if they say that's domestic violence, then, you know what? I'm guilty. I'm guilty of restraining someone."

Mayweather did an interview with the talk show host two weeks before his MGM Grand mega-fight on May 2.

The undefeated boxer revealed to Rachel Nichols in a CNN interview in September that the claims Harris were making were just "just hearsay and allegations."

Harris seeks just compensation from Mayweather for falsely depicting her as a drug addict. She claims that her ex's lies tainted her reputation, according to TMZ.com.

Friedlander wrote in a statement on behalf Harris, "Floyd's lies to Couric were knowingly fabricated in order to hype Mayweather's upcoming fight with Pacquiao, to avoid bad press by deflecting responsibility for beating the mother of his children."

Mayweather was jailed for two months in connection with the 2010 domestic violence incident with Harris. According to Harris, she and Mayweather were no longer together when he abused her physically. She narrated that jealousy was the reason her ex attacked her at her home at the time. Harris said the boxer hurt her in front of her kids and even issued death threats. The mom of three shared she had to get treated at the hospital for face and arm injuries after the incident.

Mayweather already earned a partial earning of $100 million from his victory against Pacquiao over the weekend, according to CNN. After the total pay-per-view sales figures are calculated, the 38-year-old boxer will possibly get an additional $100 million, sports media specialists projected.
