"Girl Meets World" Season 4 is still unlikely to happen as of writing, as Disney Channel continues to remain silent about the fate of the show on TV. In an interview with People, Sabrina Carpenter shared her thoughts on the show's rumored cancellation after Season 3.

Carpenter said that she and the rest of the cast have always treated each finale as if it were their last. However, the actress, who plays the role of Maya, expressed hope that "GMW" Season 4 would happen since it would definitely be great for her character.

As seen in "Girl Meets World" Season 3, the love triangle between Riley (Rowan Blanchard), Maya, and Lucas (Peyton Meyer) finally came to an end. There are also a lot more stories to be explored now that they are in high school and are finally entering relationships.

Many fans have also been petitioning on change.org for "Girl Meets World" Season 4 to move to Freeform in order to accommodate more serious issues. Fans debated that being on Disney Channel immediately placed restrictions as to how far the show can go in terms of the storylines.

Spoilers for the upcoming episodes of "Girl Meets World" Season 3 also tease on the possible emergence of a new love triangle. However, this time, it will be between Maya, Josh and Zay.
