‘Stranger Things’ Season 2 Air Date, News & Update: Eleven, Chief Hopper To Reunite? Will Byers Is S2 Villain?

"Stranger Things" Season 2 from Netflix will bring back Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) and Hawkins Police Chief Jim Hopper (David Harbour) after helping Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) and Mike Wheeler rescue Will Byers (Noah Schnapp). Aptly, "Stranger Things" creators Matt and Ross Duffer will reportedly give returning and new Netflix characters a wider stage in Season 2.

Parent Herald cites IGN interview with Matt and Ross Duffer on directions for "Stranger Things" Season 2. According to the Duffer brothers "Stranger Things" Season 2 will continue the story on the characters of the Netflix series after the ambition of Dr Brenner (Matthew Modine) using the powers of Jane "Eleven" Ives brought the Demogorgon to Hawkins.

  Eleven, among other "Stranger Things" characters, gained massive following with the Netflix series fans. "Stranger Things" Season 1 finale seemed to have done away with Eleven but the Duffer brothers reportedly have other plans.

According to The Telegraph, fans of the Netflix series can take the cue from the Eggo offerings that Chief Jim Hopper has been placing in the woods to know that Eleven will be back in "Stranger Things" Season 2. As far as Chief Jim Hopper thinks, the self sacrifice by Eleven in the "Stranger Things" Season 1 finale did not annihilate Elle.

  Variety cites Matt Duffer as he in particular teases what fans of the Netflix series can expect for Chief Jim Hopper and Eleven in "Stranger Things" Season 2. ""But we like the idea of potentially putting her and Hopper together," Matt Duffer said.

Interestingly, though, Will Byers may not have been freed completely from the demogorgon after his rescue in "Stranger Things" Season 1 finale. The Telegraph cites Netflix fan theory that "Stranger Things" Season 2 could reveal evil in Will Byers.

Netflix is yet to confirm with Matt and Ross Duffer if and when "Stranger Things" Season 2 will be aired. In the meantime, fans of the Netflix series can binge on Easter Egg hunting through S1 before "Stranger Things" Season 2 returns with Chief Jim Hopper and Eleven.
