NBA Trade Rumors: Brook Lopez In Exchange For Greg Monroe Is A Good Deal?; Brooklyn Nets Still Looking For Other Options?

The Brooklyn Nets made a lot of changes to their current roster and has been tied up to new NBA trade rumor. This NBA trade rumor involves Brook Lopez, that he might be traded to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Greg Monroe.

The Brooklyn Nets are looking to find ways to upgrade their roster and they are likely to use Brook Lopez as their bait. Michael Pina of RealGM Analysis reported that there are numerous teams linked to Brook Lopez and the Bucks are on the top list which is willing to send Greg Monroe.

Pina said that Lopez-Monroe could be a possible trade, but not a good one. Pina also cited that Greg Monroe is younger, but is a worse version of Brook Lopez.

Brook Lopez averaged 20.6 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2 assists in 73 games last season, which is pretty much good knowing he is just 26 years-old and played for 9 NBA seasons. Though having this stats, Lopez still finds himself underrated and was criticized due to lack of in-paint defense.

On the other hand, Greg Monroe of the Milwaukee Bucks is reportedly on the trading block as per Yibada. The Milwaukee Bucks are seriously selling Greg Monroe though his stats this season are doing good. Monroe is still making above 15 points with 2.3 assists and 8.8 rebounds per game in his 79 games last NBA season.

Greg Monroe can provide a sort of floor stretch with his range up to almost 18 feet perimeter shooting while Brook Lopez is more dominant in the painted area. This may be a good trade, but on the defensive end, Brook Lopez has 1.7 average blocks in his NBA career than Monroe's 0.8 blocks career blocks and Lopez can defend the post well than Greg Monroe.

This NBA trade rumor might be considered a win-win for both the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks if could be done. The way they will use each player is up to them and relies on the team's rotation and team play.
