‘Better Call Saul’ Season 3: Gus Fring Confirmed To Join Cast; Bob Odenkirk Teases Explosive Season

"Breaking Bad" characters are popping in its spin-off/prequel "Better Call Saul," and rumors have been swirling around for quite a while about an iconic character joining the third season. Bob Odenkirk has revealed that a "Breaking Bad" villain is indeed coming to the show.

"Better Call Saul" Season 3 lead actor Bob Odenkirk appeared on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" last week. He confirmed that the show is bringing in the drug kingpin Gus Fring, played by Giancarlo Esposito. Odenkirk is yet to speak with Esposito. "I'm looking for him. He's coming back," he said. "I imagine he'll be in the first moment...Let's go."

Rumors about the "Breaking Bad's" villain coming to "Better Call Saul" emerged as fans started to speculate that there is a hidden message in the first letters of the episodes of "Better Call Saul" Season 2. It reads, "Fring's Back," TIME reported.

Meanwhile, Bob Odenkirk has teased about what to expect in "Better Call Saul" Season 3. The actor, who plays as Jimmy McGill and Saul Goodman later on, said that it is going to be an explosive season. Odendirk told The Wrap how the young lawyer Jimmy McGill is innocent, more than Saul Goodman. At this age, he doesn't know the difference between his angels and devils, and believes that he's doing the right thing, when in fact, he's doing the exact opposite.

Bob Odenkirk dished in that in the third season of "Better Call Saul," this is where that innocence will be wiped away. "We learn that Saul is just who he's pretending to be to get back at the world... Season 3 is when things will really explode," he added.

In "Better Call Saul" Season 3, speculations have been going around that Jimmy McGill will be turning dark and finally be transforming into Saul Goodman, an underground lawyer. Season 2 left off with his brother, Chuck, setting him up for a fall down, and its full impact on Jimmy will start to unfold in the third season.

"Better Call Saul" is expected to return for a third season early next year.
