‘General Hospital’ Cast & Spoilers: Major Characters Return This Fall; Serial Killer Revealed

"General Hospital" is set for intense drama this fall and three major characters are coming back to Port Charles. Anna Devane, Nikolas Cassadine, and Laura Spencer are returning to the canvas. Also, the serial killer will finally be revealed.

Finola Hughes, who has delayed her return to "General Hospital" after taking her summer vacation, is finally coming back. GH spoilers, according to Celebrity Dirty Laundry, reveals that her character, Anna Devane, will come as the trial of Julian Jerome (William DeVry) wraps up. However, danger is awaiting Anna and she might be involved in the serial killer case.

Genie Francis, who will be out of the frame in the coming weeks, will be back in late September as Laura Spencer. She went away to help Spencer Cassadine (Nicolas Bechtel) settle at a European boarding school. "General Hospital" spoilers tease that when she returns, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindström) will ask her for another chance and urge her to trust him and get back together with him.

Finally, Tyler Christopher will be back on the scene as Nikolas Cassadine after taking a short hiatus. Christopher's role was taken over by Nick Stabile while he was gone. Nik is thought to be dead until his return. GH spoilers said that Nik will have a surprising story on how he is able to return from the dead. According to CDL, Nikolas has an evil twin, and the mismatched tattoo on his right arm is a major clue that the GH writers have made so obvious.

Meanwhile, "General Hospital" spoilers for this week tease that the audience will finally know who the serial killer is, although it would take some time for the PCPD to figure out who is playing as the death angel. There is going to be a blackout in Port Charles, which is a perfect time for the serial killer to take another victim. Griffin Munro (Matt Cohen) will come across an evidence that can reveal the identity of the killer.

"General Hospital" airs Mondays to Fridays at 2:30 p.m. on ABC.
