Screen Rant cites response by Robert Kirkman to a question posed by one "The Walking Dead" fan about when the story of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and fellow "TWD" characters will end. Robert Kirkman admitted that originally "The Walking Dead" should have ended when Rick Grimes and his crew reached Alexandria in Issue No. 67 of the "TWD" comic book.

However, Robert Kirkman relayed that this direction changed for "The Walking Dead," which comic book life now spans to reach Issue No.157. The media outlet points out that based on how quickly "The Walking Dead" TV series is going through the arcs in the "TWD" comic book canon, the AMC series may not have too many seasons left.

Parent Herald cites reports, for example, that The Whisperers are already making an appearance in "The Walking Dead" Season 7 rather than much later on in the "TWD" series. Screen Rant further proposes that Robert Kirkman may have different endings for "The Walking Dead" TV series and the "TWD" comic book.
