But this new development makes the Filipino-American actor as one of the best Hollywood faces to challenge stereotypes faced by Asian-Americans in contemporary United States. In an interview with Asian Journal last year, Rodriguez expressed excitement that culture of minority groups is finally being represented in the media. "It's exciting to see Filipino culture being portrayed in the mainstream," he said.

Does this mean that Rodriguez' sexuality will bleed out into the storyline for "Crazy Ex Girlfriend" season 2? It looks like it would not, at least, not for "Crazy Ex Girlfriend" season 2.
