‘Jane The Virgin’ Season 3 Spoilers: Abortion For Xo? Gloria & Emilio Estefan Guest Starring As Themselves

The second season finale of "Jane the Virgin" presented a few questions and cliffhangers for the show's viewers. Michael was shot (fatally?) and Xo is facing problems brought upon by her unexpected pregnancy.

"Jane the Virgin" Season 3 will feature big names as its guest stars similar to what happened in Season 2. Hispanic superstars and real-life couple Gloria and Emilio Estefan will play as themselves on the CW telenovela to help Rogelio (Jaime Camil) adapt a Latin telenovela for American audiences, Vulture reported.

Eva Longoria will direct the Estefans' episode. The actress previously directed "Devious Maids" and "Telenovela," TV shows which Longoria also helped develop. Prior to the Estefans, "Jane the Virgin" also featured big celebrity musicians such as Britney Spears, Juanes, and Paulina Rubio, Entertainment Weekly listed.

Jane (Gina Rodriguez) and Michael (Brett Dier) finally got married in Season 2 after facing many challenges. But just before Jane lost her virginity, Michael was shot by his cop partner Susanna (Megan Ketch), who was disguised as Rose a.k.a. Sin Rostro (Bridget Regan).

Michael may have appeared to be fatally shot, but there was proof indicating his survival. A tweet from "Jane the Virgin" writers showed Dier sitting at a table read alongside his cast mates Camil, Justin Baldoni, Yael Grobglas, and Ivonne Coll. Andrea Navedo, who plays Xo, also posted a photo on Instagram with Dier in it.

The most shocking reveal and cliffhanger in Season 2 was Xo's pregnancy. She broke up with Rogelio because he wants to have children, which is a desire she doesn't share. Afterwards, Xo found out that she is pregnant with Esteban's (Keller Wortham) child, Rogelio's arch nemesis.

"Jane the Virgin" showrunner Jennie Snyder Urman told The Hollywood Reporter that Season 3 will explore how Xo would deal with her unexpected pregnancy, with abortion an avenue that Xo would likely pursue. Urman was vague when asked whether the show would feature another pregnancy after Jane's and Petra's (Grobglas), saying that the biggest question about Xo's pregnancy is if "she's going to have the baby."

Urman also told TVLine that Xo "doesn't want to have another baby with Rogelio" and she "certainly" doesn't want to have one with Esteban. With this, there's a huge possibility that Xo would have an abortion.

Camil, meanwhile, thinks that Xo's pregnancy has "so many ramifications" on her relationship with Rogelio, Bustle reported. Regardless, Camil believes that Rogelio and Xo "love each other dearly" and their feelings for each other will never go away. "Jane the Virgin" Season 3 premieres on Monday, Oct. 17 at 9/8c on The CW.
