NBA Latest Reports: Stephen Curry Joining Los Angeles Lakers In 2017-2018 Season? Says GSW Wants To Be In 2016-2017 Championship Again

Golden State Warriors want to be in the NBA championships again for this 2016-2017 season but despite that goal, Stephen Curry is rumored to be joining another NBA team for the next NBA season. According to the latest NBA rumors, Curry will be joining Los Angeles Lakes for the 2017-2018 season.

Sportsrageous reported that Curry is set to become a free agent at the end of the 2016-2017 NBA season and one of the teams going after him is Los Angeles Lakers. However, this is not yet a fixed arrangement as his decision to stay or not with Golden State Warriors will reportedly depend on the team winning or losing this season's championship.

A fan asked NBA analyst Arthur Hill if it is possible that Curry will be joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Accordingly, it might just be a dream for many Curry and Lakers fans since Golden State Warriors might pay him the money he deserves once he becomes a free agent so that would keep him from signing with other NBA teams. As of now, Curry is said to be underpaid in Golden State Warriors as he is set to earn only $12.1 million.

Another question that was raised is about former Golden State Warriors associate coach Luke Walton possibly convincing Curry that he would be better off with Los Angeles Lakers. Walton and Curry have not commented on this matter.

More on Golden State Warriors, the team is in a greater position now as opposed to last season when it comes to the possibility of them winning the championships. This is because they just added Kevin Durant in the roster. Last year, Golden State Warriors won 74 games but Curry said in a recent statement that the team does not have to make that number their goal again because the NBA championship title is the most important, Bleacher Report shared.

Golden State Warriors now have Curry, Durant, Draymond Green, and Klay Thompson.
