'Grimm' Season 6 News: Series Cancelled Due To Low Ratings? Fans Want Netflix To Pick Up The Series

The "Grimm" series is one of the most popular and exciting TV shows today but just like other leading shows on the small screens, the series is heading to its end. According to reports, "Grimm" season 6 is the last but fans want more and are requesting Netflix to pick up the series.

This year, several popular TV shows are announced to be airing its last season. This includes "Teen Wolf," "The Vampire Diaries," and "Orphan Black" to name a few. Some favorites like "Limitless" and "Penny Dreadful" are also ax, thereby reducing the shows that we've been looking forward to watching. Why did NBC cancel "Grimm?"

According to the Bitbag, "Grimm" has been one of the top Friday night shows on NBC when it hits its 100 episode in Season 5. When "Grimm" was launched in 2011 it garnered 6.3 million and the second season gained almost 7 million viewers.

The report stressed that when "Grimm" changed time slots it affected its ratings. The series switched from Mondays to Friday, then to Tuesdays. "Grimm" Season 3 moved back to Friday, which averaged nearly 8 million viewers. Unfortunately, since then, the number dropped. "Grimm" Season 4 plunged into 7 million while "Grimm" Season 5 only had 6 million viewers.

Yes, "Grimm" is good but it couldn't last forever. "Grimm" Season 6 would be the last in the series. Per Variety, NBC canceled "Grimm" and it will not be returning for another season after "Grimm" Season 6. The network announced in a press release when they informed the public the premiere date of the last season.

However, fans are not over with the series yet, they want more after "Grimm" Season 6. According to Hall of Fame Magazine, "Grimm" fans are requesting Netflix to pick up the series. Other wants a full 22-episode for the final season. The petition has already gained 3,377 supporters and is still urging more Grimmsters to support it to reach its 5,000 target.
