In a recent statement from showrunner Craig Sweeny on Twitter, it was revealed that "Limitless" Season 2 is canceled and there are currently no plans or offers to continue the show in another network. This came in as a disappointment to fans who were hoping that Netflix would see the support that the show had since CBS canceled the show after Season 1.

Despite Sweeny's statements on Twitter, fans are still optimistic that "Limitless" Season 2 would happen. Many fans expressed that the show has one of the most compelling storylines on TV and it would be a waste to put an end to a series that had so much potential.

CBS decided to cancel "Limitless" after Season 1 because it did not fare well in the ratings. As noted by TV by the Numbers, the show generated a lot of interest during its season premiere.

However, as episodes went by, the "Limitless" Season 1 ratings failed to maintain its high standing, which ultimately resulted to the show's cancellation.
