Nerlens Noel is becoming a regular in the NBA trade rumor mills this offseason. Since Philadelphia 76ers admitted that they have a surplus of big men and that the team is trading one, the NBA enthusiasts start to speculate that either Noel or Jahlil Okafor will part ways with 76ers.
Well, both are great superstars in the making. In fact, there are rumors that Cleveland Cavaliers should trade for Nerlens Noel or Jahlil Okafor to strengthen their roster. Reports have it that Cavs' captain, LeBron James needs big men to deliver the team a back-to-back championship.
Since then Nerlens Noel and Jahlil Okafor are linked to several teams in the NBA league. The latest NBA trade rumors suggest that San Antonio Spurs is interested in acquiring Noel.
Per Sports Rageous, Spurs have replaced Tim Duncan with Pau Gasol but the team still needs a defensive anchor and reports have it that Nerlens Noel is the answer. The report suggests that San Antonio could acquire the Philadelphia 76ers center if they put Kyle Anderson and a draft pick in the trading block.
Philadelphia 76ers is trying to unload their frontcourt to accommodate Dario Saric, Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid. However, San Antonio Spurs is an unlikely destination for Nerlens Noel but it is not impossible either.
If Spurs is determined to have Nerlens Noel on their roster, they could convince Philadelphia 76ers by sending Kyle Anderson along with their first round pick. Philadelphia 76ers needs a wing player that can blend well with their young roster, so Anderson and the new draft pick could be the potential solution to push the Nerlens Noel trade.
