NBA Trade Rumors: Cleveland Cavaliers Eyeing Chicago Bulls' Taj Gibson, Willing To Trade Kevin Love?

Cleveland Cavaliers has repeatedly denied the rumors about trading Kevin Love. Unfortunately, Love remains a regular in the NBA trade rumor mills. According to reports, Cavs might part ways with Kevin Love to acquire Chicago Bulls' Taj Gibson.

There is no doubt that Kevin Love is a great NBA player. Unfortunately, reports have it that Love is the odd one in Cleveland Cavaliers. The power forward is reportedly not a perfect fit to the Cavs' system. In fact, he is not the best running mate for LeBron James and Kyrie Irving.

According to Mobile & App Cleveland Cavaliers is trading for Chicago Bulls' power forward Taj Gibson. Gibson would be a great fit for Cavs and a potential addition to the team's defense because the player has excellent frontcourt defensive skills.

Taj Gibson averaged 8.6 points and 6.9 rebounds per game in the last NBA season. By looking at Gibson's performance he could potentially add more points to Cleveland Cavaliers to put up high scores.

Well, if Cavs want Taj Gibson, they will not have a hard time convincing Chicago Bulls because the latter is also interested in acquiring Kevin Love. In fact, Bulls wants Love desperately. According to Yibada, Bulls has been interested in a trade involving Love even before he was dealt with the Cavs.

The report notes that Chicago Bulls want to maximize the trade value of Nikola Mirotic and Taj Gibson when they hit the free-agency market. Bulls want a blockbuster trade with Cavs who want to lower their luxury tax without compromising their chances this NBA season.

Chicago Bulls could offer a deal with Cleveland Cavaliers that will make the latter think twice about keeping Kevin Love. They could send Taj Gibson, Nikola Mirotic and Tony Snell to Cavs just to acquire Love. This trade will work for Cavs as they could end their long-term commitment with Love and add key players that are a better fit to their system.
