Kanye West and Drake Confirm Collaborative Album

Two of the biggest names in the world today, Kanye West and Drake, have confirmed that they will soon release a collaborative album together. Not much is known yet what the album will be about or when it will be released, but fans can rest assured that it will be something praise-worthy.

The two hip-hop icons recently made the announcement during Drake's OVO Fest in Toronto, earlier in August, where "Yeezy" asked Drake's hometown crowd if they were ready for a new album from the both of them.

With both hip-hop artists releasing successful albums in 2016, Drake's "Views," which knocked out Beyonce's "LEMONADE" as the most streamed album of the year, according to HipHop DX, and Kanye West's "The Life of Pablo," one of the most talked about and most influential hip-hop albums of the year, a joint project will be without a doubt one of the best hip-hop albums to ever be released.

Speaking with Vogue, West stated that he Drake are having a great time working together and coming up with the content for the album, saying "We're just working on music, working on a bunch of music together, just having fun going into the studio." West and Drake have often worked together in other projects, with West producing numerous songs for the Canadian rapper, but have never before joined forces to release a full album.

Kanye West's previous major collaborative album, "Watch The Throne," with fellow rap royalty Jay-Z, back in 2011, was nominated for a Grammy award, which was beaten by West's solo album "My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy," still remains as one of the most highly-praised hip-hop records today. Now, with a new mega-star artist to work with, this new release is sure to once again change the rap game altogether.

Drake also released a project with one of hip-hop's most recognizable names, Future, in a mixtape called "What a Time to be Alive" back in 2015.
