NBA Trade Rumors: Boston Celtics In Pursuit Of Greg Monroe; Boston Celtics To Offer 5-Man Trade With The Bucks?

The Boston Celtics are currently upgrading their roster to ensure their NBA Playoffs spot this coming season. With Greg Monroe still on the trading block, the Boston Celtics can take their chance to pursue another NBA All-Star caliber.

According to a report held by Yibada, Boston Celtics General Manager Danny Ainge admitted that the Celtics are open for a possible trade. Ainge also mentioned that though open for trade, he might not consider sending some of the future assets of their team.

The 26-years old Greg Monroe hasn't been involved in any major injuries since his NBA debut. He is healthy, young and has a lot of space for improvement.

As per the Morning Ledger, Boston Celtics would be a great landing spot for Greg Monroe as they are showing interest to take the big man. Playing alongside with Al Horford would provide them a premier inside threat as both Horford and Monroe can dominate the paint.

The possible trade scenario in order for the Celtics to acquire Greg Monroe would be on a 5-man trade. The Bucks would have to bundle Jabari Parker to Greg Monroe while the Celtics would send Marcus Smart, Amir Johnson and Jonas Jerebko as the Inquisitor reported.

The Celtics would acquire 2 young talents that can definitely fit with their style of play. While the Bucks would give a much quicker backcourt player with Marcus Smart, as Coach Kidd wants to run the team in a fast-pace manner.

The Milwaukee Bucks are still looking to find the best trading partner for Greg Monroe. And as of today, it would be a smart move to deal Greg Monroe to the Celtics to acquire the talent and skills they need for their system.

On the other hand, if the said NBA trade rumor should materialize, the Boston Celtics might be able to ensure their NBA Playoffs spot this coming NBA season. They need to prepare and at least match up the roster of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the upgraded New York Knicks.
