NBA Trade Rumors: Carmelo Anthony Is Now Ready to Head Back In The Playoffs: Knicks Targeting Ben McClemore As Backup Guard

Carmelo Anthony seems to be happy now with his new crew compared to the Knicks' previous years. With Derrick Rose and a couple of new faces for the Knicks, Carmelo Anthony would definitely feel the crowd of the NBA Playoffs.

Derrick Rose is a great help for Carmelo Anthony and the Knicks, though Rose has been plagued with a devastating knee injury for more than 3 years, he was able to play and contribute to the Bulls last season. Pretty much to say that Derrick Rose is now becoming the player he used to be a few years ago.

The New York Knicks are also giving credit to their rising star Kritaps Porzingis. Finishing 2nd in the NBA Rookie of the Year voting, Porzingis has been a remarkable performer for the Knicks as they saw a potential superstar in the next couple of seasons.

Along with the newly acquired Courtney Lee, Joakim Noah, and Brandon Jennings, the New York Knicks seems to be rising from the coffin this coming NBA season. Carmelo Anthony wouldn't need to take the offense on his shoulder as there are new scoring options for the Knicks.

On the Other hand, though the Knicks are likely to be a better team now and looks to be ready for the NBA Playoffs, the Knicks is still looking to find ways to build a more reliable 2nd unit. According to the Christian Times, the Knicks are currently in search of a backup shooting guard.

Ben McClemore has been rumored to be the Knicks' target for the spot as the Sacramento Kings are also rumored to send McClemore out of their club. As per iSports Times, Phil Jackson might pull Shasha Vujacic, Kyle O'Quinn and Justin Holiday with draft picks in exchange for Ben McClemore.

Ben McClemore would be a good backup guard to Courtney Lee, as he can spread the floor with his outside shooting, considering that he is also one of the league's great finisher. McClemore can provide a good impact for the Knicks as it showed on his figures last season, finishing with 7.8 points within 21 minutes of playing.

Fans cannot wait to see the new look New York Knicks this coming NBA season. It would be safe to say that the Knicks are now preparing the Madison Square Garden for a sold out 2016 NBA Playoffs campaign.
