Bruce Jenner New Look: Ex-Athlete Reportedly Gracing Vanity Fair Cover As A Woman

Bruce Jenner's journey to transition from man to woman has landed him a cover feature with fashion magazine Vanity Fair. The former Olympian, who revealed that he's transgender last April in a tell-all television interview, is said to be gracing the July issue, according to various reports.

Jenner is no stranger to cover shoots as he has been featured in magazines like GQ and Sports Illustrated over the years. However, this is will be the very first cover for Jenner as a transgender, and reports say that no less than famed photographer Annie Leibovitz will be shooting the historical moment.

Stories also claim that the cover has long been in the works and that Jenner has step-daughter Kim Kardashian West and ex-wife Kris Jenner to thank for orchestrating it. According to New York Daily News, this whole thing has been a "carefully executed PR plan," as the controversial athlete wants to make sure that he will be taken seriously by the public. He would like to avoid a repeat of what happened when In Touch Magazine ran a story on him in January showing a badly done Photoshop job of him in a different woman's body.

Aside from the Vanity Fair cover the family is cooking up, the PR plan also includes having a photographer "accidentally" running into Jenner as he does his daily errands dressed as a woman sometime in the summer.

"He will set it up ahead of time and either come out on a normal day - and from then on he'll be a woman in his daily life for the public - or he'll go to a dinner and be in a dress. But it's likely he'll ease us into the nighttime look," the source revealed in the New York Daily report.

In the last episode of the family's reality series, "Keeping up with the Kardashians," where Bruce revealed that he was planning on transitioning, he told another step daughter, Khloe Kardashian, that he had wanted to debut his female look in the spring, as reported by USA Today. However, since E! is also going to release his documentary series about his transition on July 26, it looks like his Vanity Fair cover will coincide with it. 

It hasn't been an easy few months for the Kardashians and the Jenners with all the talk and rumors swirling around Bruce's transition. But as things are starting to sink in, it looks like everything should be going according to plan.
