'Pokemon Go' News & Update: Niantic Gearing For New Updates Including Buddy System And Minor Fixes; Buddy Pokemon Details Explained!

Niantic's "Pokemon Go" is still dominating the mobile game industry and the team is determined to keep their influence by making more interesting updates. One of the anticipated "Pokemon Go" updates includes the rumored Buddy System and some fixes. Learn the details of this "Pokemon Go" feature here.

In a blog post, Niantic announced that they are working for "Pokemon Go" update which includes the implementation of Buddy Pokemon. This new feature allows "Pokemon Go" trainers to choose one of their Pokemon to be their buddy.

The "Pokemon Go" trainer can earn candy for their Buddy Pokemon by walking with them in a certain distance. Aside from the anticipated Buddy System, the next "Pokemon Go" update will include fixes for hatching eggs that don't show animation and some text.

The upcoming "Pokemon Go" patch will also include a better performance reliability when a device switches networks that used to cause the "Pokemon Go" application to hang or stop. Selecting smaller Pokemon will also be easier. Also, Niantic will add "Pokemon Go" Plus support.

There is only a little information about "Pokemon Go's" Buddy System but per International Business Times, this feature offers more than giving you a Candy for walking around with your Buddy Pokemon.

At the time, starter Pokemon are difficult to find but with "Pokemon Go's" Buddy System, you can collect more Candy to evolve Bulbasaur, Charmander and Squirtle. The Buddy System will also be helpful for "Pokemon Go" players with pre-evolved forms of rare Pokemon.

If a "Pokemon Go" player is stuck with a Geodude and he is struggling in catching a Graveler or Golem, he can assign Geodude as his Buddy Pokemon, increase his chance and speed up the process of evolving the rock or ground-type Pokemon.

Meanwhile, if a "Pokemon Go" player assigns Pikachu as his Buddy Pokemon, they will get a "Pokemon Go" surprise. There are only limited details about this feature at the time but expect to learn more in the coming days.

Niantic added that they will continue to eliminate the bots and scrapers from "Pokemon Go." How do you find the Buddy System? Are you excited about this feature? Who among the Pokemon will you choose as your Buddy Pokemon? Share your thoughts in the comment section below.
