'Orange is the New Black' Season 5 Might See Daya Getting An Extended Sentence

"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 has a little more time to premiere. However, the cliffhanger with which the series signed off in the last season brought in a lot of questions in the minds of the fans. More than any other, the fans are very curious to know if Daya will be in trouble or not.

It seems very likely that in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5, Daya will face a grim fate. There are reports which reveal that most of the inmates along with Daya will face a grim turn of events. However, we do not know much about the plot line of the new season.

According to reports, Daya might get an extended sentence. The last scene of the show in the previous season of "Orange is the New Black" ended with Daya pointing a gun at the CO, Humphrey (Michael Torpey). Though Daya has never been an aggressive character, she might face serious consequences and might even be sent to the SHU due to this incident, reported International Business Times.

"Orange is the New Black" Season 5 might focus on Daya's time in solitary confinement. There are theories that are doing the rounds that she might find help. It has been predicted that Bennett (Matt McGorry) might return to help her during her time in Litchfield in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5, reported HOF Magazine.

The theory that the actor will make a comeback in "Orange is the New Black" Season 5 took wings after he uploaded a picture of himself with co-star Laverne Cox in Los Angeles. However, even if he returns in the new season, it does not mean that this will rekindle their romance in Season 5 of "Orange is the New Black."

McGorry stated that Bennett's disappearance in Season 3 of "Orange is the New Black" might be the end of his relationship with Daya. This plot is most relevant as relationship between inmates and correctional officers often tend to be problematic. McGorry also stated that he is unsure if his character will return for another season.
