‘Fallout 4,’ ‘Skyrim’ To Get PS4 Mod Support Of Some Sort?

While Bethesda already officially announced last week that "Fallout 4" and "Skyrim" are not going to receive any mod support like they hoped for, new announcement from the developer sparked hopes mods will still find its way on PS4.

Mod support for "Fallout 4" and "Skyrim Remastered" were pulled out following the decision by Sony not to approve any mods "the way they should work," which means users can do whatever they want for the games, Daily Express reported.

Bethesda released a statement last week, which says, "After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4."

Bethesda marketing boss Pete Hines gave some hopes to eager fans, saying that they are still trying to get mod support "of some kind" on PlayStation 4. When asked on Twitter, Hines did not elaborate on this and went into specifics, but said that "I'm not going to guess at what it might look like."

"Like you, we are disappointed by Sony's decision given the considerable time and effort we have put into this project, and the amount of time our fans have waited for mod support to arrive," Bethesda further said in the statement. "We consider this an important initiative and we hope to find other ways user mods can be available for our PlayStation audience."

Meanwhile, "Fallout 4" is currently available for just $18 on Amazon. That is a massive discount from its original price of $60, according to PCWorld. The sale though is only applicable to the physical disc version. "Fallout 4" is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Microsoft Windows.

"The Elder Scrolls 5: Skyrim" remaster is set to be launched on Oct. 28. It will be available on Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
