'Furious 7' Star Ludacris and Wife Eudoxie Welcome First Child Together, Name Means 'A Father's Joy'

"Furious 7" star Ludacris is a new dad three times over. The rapper recently welcomed the newest addition to his family, as his wife, Eudoxie Mbouguiyengue, has given birth to their very first baby together.

The couple named the baby Cadence Gaëlle, which has such a significant meaning. "She was 7 lbs, 4oz and beautiful like her mom. Her middle name means 'a father's joy,'" the source revealed in a report from E! Online.

Proud mom Eudoxie officially made the announcement of Cadence's arrival in her Instagram post Thursday through a photo of a baby girl balloon. She captioned this with, "She is here #blessed #grateful." Meanwhile, Ludacris, whose real name is Chris Bridges, also posted a baby announcement on his Instagram using a throwback photo of his wife as baby, with her own mother carrying her. He captioned this with,"#tbt now @eudoxiee will be switching places. #blessings #love #life."

Back in March, Ludacris announced that Eudoxie was in the family way, following their Christmas engagement and subsequent wedding. The whirlwind romance has stunned fans, according to E! Online, but a source said "Ludacris was so thrilled to be getting married and filled with such love for his lady. He was a bit nervous when it was happening but in a very good kinda way."

In another interview with E!, his wife said that the wedding did happen fast, "We chose a simple and intimate wedding that was perfect for us. We wanted the day to be about our loving commitment to each other." As they both love to have children, Cadence's arrival seems to work in the plans in the most fitting way.

Cadence joins her sister Cai Bella, one years old, who is Ludacris' other daughter with ex-girlfriend Tamika Fuller. The actor received full custody of Cai back in January, as Mstarz reports. Ludacris also has another daughter, Karma, 14-year-old, who lives with her mother.

Aside from being an accomplished rapper and an actor, who has won a Grammy and a Screen Actors Guild awards, Ludacris is also a record label owner and a liquor store entrepreneur. He is one of the spokesperson for Puma, the sports apparel brand.

Together with his wife, they support a few charities, with Ludacris establishing a youth program that puts emphasis on reading, and Eudoxie heading a non-profit for young women who are victims of abuse. The couple are truly blessed.
