Glitter oils are making rounds on the Internet as it was mentioned that these magical pills turn poop into a magical glittery stool. It may be the latest fad, but question is, are these glitter pills safe for consumption?

The glitter pills which are sold on Etsy managed to catch consumers' attention as it makes their pop shimmer and shine. It may seem weird and cute at the same time, some parents are alarmed as these magical pills may place their children into a perilous state according to iDigital Times.

Daily Dot sheds a light on the parent's concerns as it was mentioned that these poop making glitters could are not safe for consumption. Though glitters, in general, are not toxic, these materials may have a negative effect on the body in the long run.

A pediatrician, Tobi Amosun did tell her personal experience when it comes to glitter consumption as her child ate a handful of glitter. To her surprise, her child pooped glitter, but nothing lethal happened, still it is not something that should be consumed regularly just to get shiny poop.

Last Christmas, I was working on crafts and I put some of my supplies off to the side," Amosun wrote on her blog. "I made sure to put away things like the scissors and the hot glue gun where my toddler couldn't reach. I totally thought I was in the clear until a few days later, when I was changing his diaper. Usually, this is a mindless thing where you grab wipes, the changing pad, a diaper and just go through the motions. Yes. Sparkly poop. My mischievous toddler had eaten the gold glitter. I personally think he wanted to be extra festive for the holidays.

There are several fads these days that parents needs to be cautious about. Parents need to be on what their kids are into as some may be harmless, there are those that can be lethal; can cost them their lives.
